With beautiful weather in Colorado we decided to drive to Boulder with our grandsons and enjoy the outdoors.<\/strong> We have to seize the moment with Paxton and Logan as this was a respite from their normal busy student life! We chose the <\/strong>Anne U. White Trail <\/strong><\/a>north of Boulder where Marla and hiked last year. It’s an easy hike and really gorgeous, especially this time of year!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logan loves hiking more than anyone in the family.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our trail borders Fourmile Canyon Creek. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There are numerous stream crossings, but easy to navigate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

With heavier than usual spring rains the vegetation and moss covered rocks were beautiful.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This is a lovely “False Solomon’s Seal” in bloom.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spotted pretty “Tall Bluebells” among the cliffs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boulder County has done a wonderful job of trail design and maintenance. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blessed to be out with this wonderful group!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sound of the stream is very nurturing. We did hear some young voices ahead of us a few times. It turned out to be two groups of children from a nearby elementary school on the last day of their kindergarten and 2nd grade.<\/strong> It was so cute to watch them transverse the trail and crossing the streams with their teachers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were starving for lunch so we had a nice lunch upstairs at the West End Tavern in Boulder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four block long pedestrian<\/strong> Pearl Street Mall is a favorite of ours.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a sensational day with our wonderful guys!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
