I looked at some old family albums the other day and I must say I really needed the help of a fashion stylist from day one! Join me as I look back at my sartorial journey from age 18 months to the present day. It’s OK to laugh at some of my questionable style choices. The top photo is me as a very young “boulevardier” hitting the streets of Oakland, California, looking for action.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

A comment: I should have ditched the “Roy Rogers” shirt,… and did my Mom REALLY think I would grow into those jeans with those maxi-cuffs?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Wearing your lunch bag tucked under your cowboy belt is a style trend that really didn’t catch on!<\/strong><\/h5>\n
\"\"<\/h5>\n
I thought I was cool but you can tell my brother and sister were not so sure about that.<\/strong><\/h5>\n
\"\"<\/h5>\n
Going with a minimal buzz cut as a High School senior. I needed glasses to avoid walking into walls but was too vain to wear them in public!<\/strong><\/h5>\n
\"\"<\/h5>\n
Yes that is me on the far right with the pegged pants. You never can tell when the levies near the University Of The Pacific in Stockton might flood so I wore them high.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

At an engagement party with Marla. I used to have clothing auctions in the dorm and sold my old Madras shirts for more than I paid for them. I was pretty good at finding the best prices for clothes. Somewhat ironic that I went into the decorative textile business.<\/strong>\"\"<\/h5>\n
To be honest, “Fatigue Green”, is NOT one of my favorite colors.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Now this is much better!<\/strong>\"\"<\/h5>\n
My uniform of the moment! I left the next day to drive to Denver and begin a new career.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

I’m moving the dial to a painful &\u00a0<\/strong>new fashion era complete with a mustache, longer hair, and even a vintage Hawaiian shirt.\u00a0 I am sure Marla is thinking,”I hope he grows out of it soon!”<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Lunch in Tiburon complete with bell-bottoms! I can almost hear the sounds of “Big Brother And The Holding Company” in the background.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

My Mom never criticized how I looked.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

All I can say is,…”Oh My!’ I was obsessed with Nik Nik nylon shirts and saved them all!<\/strong><\/h5>\n

I still have this Gianfranco Ferre silk jacket in my closet! Marla is looking amazing as always!<\/strong><\/h5>\n

My attire totally went south on a Wesco Fabrics’ customer trip to Cannes. WRONG, WRONG …WRONG!\u00a0 Yikes, …those shoes,… but I still love these crazy Paul Ropp shirts from Bali.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

I spotted this panther vest in a tiny\u00a0Palais Royale<\/u>\u00a0boutique in Paris,\u00a0L’Escalier d’Argent.<\/u>\u00a0Though obviously on the flamboyant side I had to have it! It has jacquard woven leopards on it. Marla looks darling!<\/b><\/strong><\/h5>\n

When I first started work at Wesco Fabrics I wore a tie and a jacket almost everyday and for many years after. This was my last sales meeting attire just before we sold the business to RM Coco.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

OK,…we did dress up for the A.S.I.D. Christmas party at the Governor’s Mansion.<\/strong><\/h5>\n
\"\"<\/h5>\n
My niece was in town with her husband, the grandson of Alexander Calder. I spruced up a tad for a reception at the Denver Botanical Gardens showcasing works of Calder.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

This is my “go-to” look today!<\/strong>\"\"Very happy in my everyday attire,…tee shirt and shorts!<\/strong><\/h5>\n
I laughed and loved looking back at my fashion journey over the years with all the craziness and changes.<\/strong><\/h5>\n
