After a quick March Waikiki visit we flew to the Big Island<\/strong> to see family and friends. Our condo rental wasn’t ready so we stocked up on important necessities (Wines, POG juice, Maui Chips, and Portuguese sausage)<\/strong> at COSTCO then made a stop at the Kona Farmers Market for some fresh produce.<\/strong> We missed our favorite farmers’ markets in Waimea. Marla is relaxing at lunch at a new discovery in Kailua Kona, Kai Eats + Drinks.<\/strong> I loved the food and the view was spectacular!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020 we rented a large house in the Kolea at Waikoloa Beach Resort for our family of 12. Having fallen in love with the area, we rented a condo there for this trip. The development is right next to beautiful Anaeho’omalu Beach or “A” beach as many call it.<\/strong> Our daughter Lisa and husband Ray joined us in the condo. My brother Gary and nephew Kekoa stayed close by in the Hilton Waikoloa Village.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We headed to the beach to enjoy sunsets every evening!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were almost sand-blasted by the wind at the beach another day so we moved to the pool area.

The Gentry family’s (including my Mom) favorite raviolis are from Genova Delicatessen in Walnut Creek, California. Gary found them at the Safeway in Hilo and brought them.<\/strong> They also brought ice chests and boxes full of wonderful surprises!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A friend of Gary gave him a bottle of vintage Dom Perignon. Nothing better than a brother bearing gifts!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gary is preparing his special garlic bread for dinner. Yumm!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooking is a family affair. Breakfast included my favorite Portuguese sausage as well as eggs, fabulous fruits and breads.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On our last day we all drove to Hawi and had lunch and Mai Tais, of course, at the Bamboo Restaurant.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch in Hawi we drove toward Kapaau. I\u2019m soaking in the unique beauty<\/strong> by the \u201cTong Wo Society Hall\u201d which was founded in 1886.<\/strong> This has always been a favorite place for me.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
