Taking a photograph is my way of holding on to life, and to keep a special moment forever. I will share a few of my many favorites.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021 Marla was in the emergency room for heart failure while in California. Upon her return home she had to wear a “LifeVest”, a\u00a0wearable cardioverter\u00a0defibrillator, before a pacemaker\/defibrillator could be implanted. This photo shows her amazing determination to keep on with life. She had her seamstress retrofit a gown to hide the large LifeVest battery. Nothing was going to stop her from attending the 2021 opening gala of the new Denver Art Museum building and see the new Asian galleries as well as the Burmese Buddha pavilion we donated. She is such a beautiful warrior!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
