We enjoyed a day of joyful protest on Saturday.<\/strong> Marla and I with daughter Lisa and her friend Holly, attended a “No Kings” protest in a South Denver suburb.<\/strong> After it began to wind down Marla said we must go to one more!<\/strong> I love her passion and commitment to causes dear to her heart!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Downtown Denver had an estimated 70,000 demonstrators and there were over 70 demonstrations in Colorado. 8 million people attended more than 3,300 “NO KINGS” protests across the U.S. last Saturday, marking what is said to be the largest single-day demonstration in American history.\u00a0<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So many people have totally had enough with the present regime!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Civil rights leader and U.S. Congressman\u00a0John Lewis<\/a>\u00a0famously urged people to “make good trouble, necessary trouble”. Inspired by Rosa Parks, Lewis used the phrase to encourage nonviolent activism and fighting for justice against injustice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The size of the demonstrators in Boise, Idaho was a big surprise!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Dallas as well!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I attended the Denver “No King” protest last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
