A QUIET WALK IN DALLAS

After babysitting our four grandchildren for a week we enjoyed a little quiet respite with a walk in the neighborhood. We love the flowers at this Highland Park home as we walked toward Davis Park.

This bridge near the Highland Park Swimming Pool was originally built in 1908.

As we descended down a sylvan path we passed beautiful bridges going over Hackberry Creek. The weather was gorgeous this morning and…we were the only people in the whole park!

Lovely irises along the path.

When the twins were very young we would take them to a playground nearby. This stone bridge always fascinated me.

You can tell this was a perfect day!

A family donated this bronze sculpture in memory of their child.

This would be the perfect spot for an artist to set up their easel.

Marla explores the area.

This part of the path is next to tony Highland Park Drive, a beautiful area of expensive homes in the $15-20 million dollar range!

Seeing a stone bridge like this transports me to medieval Europe.

We pass blooming Magnolia Trees as we walk back to our daughter’s home. What a wonderful day!
