Our daughter Stacy and her good friend Bart have worked on various charity events in Dallas for many years. During our last trip Bart invited us to see their new home. We couldn’t wait to see Bart and this latest creation of his and Steven (who was travelling unfortunately).
No home tour is complete without Champagne!
Each room was a design delight! It was a real treat to see all the amazing details of this 13.9 million dollar modern style mansion, obviously a labor of love! It was particularly impressive for me as I spent most of my life in the home furnishing world.
The modern style swimming pool is seen from the dining room windows.
Creative furniture fill each area.
Their kitchen has fabulous components from top to bottom.
I love how open the plan is and their furniture selection is perfect!
Yours truly could never keep a home this neat…even if I had staff!
Bart and Steven are collectors of contemporary art.
Stan looks out toward the stream in their backyard. It will look very lush in the spring with all the trees in bloom..
“Marla,…can I pour you another?”
Custom designed details are in abundance.
An art filled hallway.
The master bedroom.
Marla checks out the bathtub.
I love the hardware finish.
“OK…I must TOTALLY redo my closet!” The Men’s department at Nordstrom’s doesn’t look this good!
The master bedroom has a coffee machine and a drawer of cold water bottles.
A very comfy sitting room is next to the master bedroom.
Marla and I are feeling right at home.
I’m looking down at the living room from the adjoining attached two-story guest house.
One of the upstairs rooms.
Fascinating art in a bedroom.
We say goodbye to Bart and thanks for a wonderful afternoon! We may see him in Paris during the Olympics as he is a huge swimming fan as am I!
I love seeing unique and fascinating homes. This was all about wonderful details everywhere. They did a fabulous job designing their home. Thanks again Bart!
