THE PHOTOGRAPH…PART 1

Taking a photograph is my way of holding on to life, and to keep a special moment forever. I will share a few of my many favorites.

In 2021 Marla was in the emergency room for heart failure while in California. Upon her return home she had to wear a “LifeVest”, a wearable cardioverter defibrillator, before a pacemaker/defibrillator could be implanted. This photo shows her amazing determination to keep on with life. She had her seamstress retrofit a gown to hide the large LifeVest battery. Nothing was going to stop her from attending the 2021 opening gala of the new Denver Art Museum building and see the new Asian galleries as well as the Burmese Buddha pavilion we donated. She is such a beautiful warrior!

Having a nice chat.

A fabulous shot of our daughter Lisa in Venice taken by her husband Ray.

A wonderful birthday dinner for our daughter, Stacy!

Marla is with our agents in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This was one of our favorite suppliers and sadly is now closed. We found so many incredible items here!

Two beautiful kittens in Beijing.

The look.

Following a blue wall in Rabat, Morocco.

Breakfast, Castello La Lecchia.

Marla and I hosted sales incentive trips for our interior designer clients for many years. We were enjoying a final night dinner in Cannes when some gymnasts from Brazil reignited our party.

Enjoying the sunset.

I had to laugh when I saw these vintage hangers for shirts outside a store in Positano, Italy. I guess it reminded me of my younger self.

A giant Singh (lion) guards the chedi at Wat Pha Lat, tucked half way up Doi Suthep mountain, almost hidden in the dense jungle.
