PERSONAL ACTIVISM IN THESE CHAOTIC TIMES

We enjoyed a day of joyful protest on Saturday. Marla and I with daughter Lisa and her friend Holly, attended a “No Kings” protest in a South Denver suburb. After it began to wind down Marla said we must go to one more! I love her passion and commitment to causes dear to her heart!

Downtown Denver had an estimated 70,000 demonstrators and there were over 70 demonstrations in Colorado. 8 million people attended more than 3,300 “NO KINGS” protests across the U.S. last Saturday, marking what is said to be the largest single-day demonstration in American history.

Signs were everywhere!

So many people have totally had enough with the present regime!

I love this sign!

So true!

No real surprise here!

Civil rights leader and U.S. Congressman John Lewis famously urged people to “make good trouble, necessary trouble”. Inspired by Rosa Parks, Lewis used the phrase to encourage nonviolent activism and fighting for justice against injustice.

YES!!!

My favorite activists!

We went to another part of Denver and joined the peaceful protestors!

I couldn’t agree more!

The size of the demonstrators in Boise, Idaho was a big surprise!

And Dallas as well!

I attended the Denver “No King” protest last year.

We are at a Denver Pride march last year.

Love this Lady!

I’m at a 2018 “Women’s March” in Denver.
