Laguna Beach has been a fun destination our family for many years. Marla’s family often stayed here in the summer and we continued the tradition as well when our kids were young. My Mom joined us on many trips and loved the area. Last August we returned once again. We rented an historic apartment with a great view of the ocean.

This is our daughter Stacy’s first trip to Laguna Beach. We used to joke that Stacy first learned how to eat sand here.

We rented the upstairs apartment.

The home was built in 1921.

Marla checks out the terrace.

We loved being able to walk to numerous beaches and Las Brisas, one of our favorite restaurants.

We’re walking up to Heisler Park.

The park offers beautiful paths rimmed with colorful plants and flowers.

This is the famous gazebo in Heisler Park offering 180 degree views of the sea.

Our daughter Lisa and husband Ray were married in the gazebo 26 years ago. In 2023 they returned to this special spot again!

We made an early dinner reservation at Las Brisas.

Our dinner, service, and of course the views were wonderful! When we told our waiter that Marla needed “no salt” He said, “Let me have the kitchen make you no-salt chips!” They were fantastic!

In 2023 we stayed in Huntington Beach with Lisa & Ray, and Paxton & Logan. We came down to Laguna Beach for a great lunch at Las Brisas.

A beautiful Laguna Beach evening.

Views of the beaches.

On the way to breakfast we stopped to look at the interesting Laguna Nursery.

So many types of plants and flowers thrive in the Laguna weather.

Urth Caffe is my favorite spot for breakfast. Long lines are common in the summer.

I’m savoring a large latte.

“TOTALLY DELISH!”

We drove up to Huntington Beach for lunch with Linda Rose, Marla’s Delta Gamma sorority sister.

Dinner with Randy Stevens Allard, our former neighbor in Centennmial, at A Crystal Cove Restaurant.

We really like “Picnic Beach”.

A fabulous ocean view in Heisler Park.

We love the Laguna Beach sunsets. Our granddaughter Logan joined us for a few nights in Laguna Beach before starting her masters program again at the University of Southern California. We’ll share more next week.
