I’ve thought a lot about the many things I am thankful for during this Thanksgiving Holiday. I could write a novel with long lists of grateful thoughts of the past year. I love the quote from Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking Cruises, “When you really philosophize on it there is really only one thing you don’t have enough of and that is…TIME. TIME is the only truly scarce commodity and when you come to that realization, I think it is important to spend your time wisely.”
I’ll share a few of my grateful thoughts which make me the happiest and nourish my soul.
Marla descending this staircase at the House of Dior in Paris last August. It is truly a miracle we were able to travel this year considering everything Marla has been through!
Witnessing the fabulous and wonderful evolution of our daughter Lisa and her husband Ray.
Our daughter Stacy is a true wonder and never ceases to amaze me, obviously taking after her Mom. Husband Stan is pretty darn great as well.
Each of our grandchildren are incredible and unique. My heart sings when I am blessed to be with them!
I am so grateful for TIME, and I try to use it wisely!
I am so thankful for watching miraculous sunsets.
I am grateful for witnessing a sunrise.
I am always thankful when we can open new doors in our life.
I am thankful for beautiful portals of discovery.
In 2021 and in 2022 I am so very thankful for all the amazing, talented, and kind Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurses we have encountered with Marla’s care!
And… right in this miraculous moment, taking this photo of Marla… radiant, beautiful, and so full of love, I approach Thanksgiving with amazing gratitude. What you are not seeing…are my tears of happiness as I write this!
May you have a beautiful Thanksgiving!
