I love the changing of the season and the way nature never hurries in the transition to Spring. I’ve tried to capture the moment before the rebirth of color and light. There is a special beauty in the form and composition of the trees during this momentary stoppage of time. I’ll share a few from recent early spring bike rides and walks. The photo above mesmerized me with its’ natural Dali-esque form while walking in Lands End in San Francisco.

A watery composition at the Cherry Creek Dam state park.

Slightly Ansel Adams-esque.

Death and rebirth.

Majestic presence.

What do you see in this tree?

A gathering of Cottonwood trees.

Soon…soon.

Before the budding.

Sentinels in the field.

Light and dark…and alluring.
