WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WHEN IT IS REALLY SAFE TO ENGAGE THE WORLD AGAIN AFTER COVID-19?

I know I have a long list and at the top is my desire to visit my Mom’s grave! We had new granite plaques made for her family plot near Berkeley, and we haven’t been able to see them. The image above is the visit to the cemetery a few years ago. We all are longing for favorite pastimes and activities that have been put on hold for safety concerns. We are experiencing a longing for connection and being with people. For some of us, it is an overwhelming sense of ennui. What do you want to do when it is safe to engage the world again? Check out this link from NPR about “The Risks Of 14 Summer activities.”

I can’t wait to visit all our grandkids when it is safe to travel again. Miss them all!

I can’t wait to have dinner in a restaurant with family!

Can’t wait to meet up with friends again!

I miss my annual bike tours with interesting people!

A favorite activity is taking the grandchildren to museums. Hope to do this soon!

Dinner parties will happen again!

Bravo Vail is cancelled this year! We hope to spend a little time in the mountains soon!

I can’t wait to feel safe going to farmer’s market again. I went to the South Pearl Street Farmer’s Market last Sunday and though people wore masks there was no sense of social distancing after entrance at all!

We all have travel dreams of future destinations. We cancelled four big trips already. When it is safer we will go up in the “friendly skies” again!

Among our future dream itineraries is to explore enchanting little places in the French Languedoc-Roussillon & the Aquitaine regions. The ancient port of Collioure is shown above. I first heard about this little jewel of a town while streaming the MHZ network show,…“Murder In.” Each fascinating episode takes place in a different part of France and is subtitled.

I want to travel with friends again!

Ah…the joys of gathering for a coffee or a beer.

I will look at travel differently in the future and revel in the humanity of it all! Where once I wanted privacy and a secluded retreat,…maybe crowds will be a welcome sight!
