FOR THOSE WHO LOVE TO SHOP…THE PARIS STOREFRONT

I love to shop but I like window shopping even more! I can’t think of anyplace better for this than…Paris! The varieties of creative window displays are almost endless from the iconic and often mesmerizing Louis Vuitton to a tiny boutique on a medieval lane. Everyone has their favorite shopping areas of Paris. I never tire of exploring Paris and my favorite arrondissements for window displays are the 6th, 5th, 7th, 1st and the 4th. I’ll share window displays from visits over the years. Marla is shown checking out an unusual display at Le Bon Marche in the 7th.

A study in…pink!

A fun window in the Marais.

Now this little street looks promising!

In 2009 Christian Lacroix began closing their Paris showrooms like this one in the Saint Sulpice area in the 6th.

I’ve always had a thing about robots! This jewelry store combined their creations with robots.

I loved looking in the window of this tiny men’s boutique near Saint Sulpice.

Shop windows on the ancient and charming Cour du Commerce Saint-Andre.

Did someone say…”Antiques?”

Sadly, Marie Mercie hat shop on rue Saint-Sulpice has closed.

So…you want a full-size skeleton? I know the place!

For many years Marla and I visited Paris after the Heimtextil decorative fabric show in Frankfurt, Germany. We always planned the trip so we could go to the Marche aux Puces in Saint-Ouen. The flea market brings together over 2000+ antique dealers spread over 15 markets. This area is absolute nirvana for window shoppers!

Our twin granddaughters would love these cute dressers!

Pick the color of the Andy Warhol head!

I love the care and creativity of a shop window like this! Marla is quick to remind me that “I don’t need more stuff.” I love stuff!!!

An ancient curving street with loads of great shops.

This area is a window shoppers delight!

I’ve always been partial to orange!

I fell in love with a 19th century Burmese Buddha sculpture in this window!

A wonderful Art Deco gallery!

My favorite window shopper!

“We can rest later! There are more streets to explore!”
