We’ve stayed at many hotels in Singapore over the years, but the Marina Bay Sands is without question the most exciting and interesting! This amazing structure was designed by Boston architects Safdie Architects. We stayed here with our grandchildren Paxton and Logan in 2019 and it was Vaughan and Owen’s turn last July.
We are ready for dinner after our flight from Koh Samui.
Vaughan fell in love with this blue silk shirt at Jim Thompson in Bangkok.
The infinity pool is without question…amazing! It is on the 57th floor. Only registered hotel guests can access the Infinity Pool and must present their hotel key cards upon entry.
The sunset view on Marina Bay.
The views on this wonderful night were spectacular!
A light show begins at the bay.
The pool is open till 11 PM.
Looking trendy at the LAVO on the 57th floor.
Waiting for the elevator.
Walking through the hotel to the exciting Gardens By The Bay.
While walking to the Gardens one can’t help but to have a sense of awe at the architecture.
We entered through the Chinese style moon gate.
Heading toward the “Cloud Forest.”
In a word,…”fabulous!”
We just love the vibrant colorations in the “Flower Dome.”
In addition to a huge casino the Marina Bay sands has a gigantic multi-level shopping complex. Whether you want to purchase a $100,000 Bovet wristwatch or a $15 dollar tee shirt you can find it here!
Tired of walking? Take the boat!
We are off for a lunch restaurant I knew the boys would love!
The guys LOVED their crazy milkshakes at Black Tap Craft Burgers. They just found out there is one now in…Dallas!
The pool!
Happy swimmers!
One big thing I loved about this trip was watching Vaughan and Owen evolve as adventurous eaters! Vaughan is eating an amazingly hot and spicy Indian dish and Owen is having Malaysian food in the food court on our last night.
Vaughan set up his room like an office so he could do an academic project. Thes two guys are simply wonderful young men!
I think it was definitely a toss-up as to who loved this almost 3 week South East Asian trip the most. It was a transformative trip for all of us! A huge WOW on so many levels. Thank you for joining us on our journey of discovery.
