CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

With the Christmas Season in full swing I’ve decided to look back at The Holidays with my family over the years. The opening image is an austere Christmas memory at the Rhein-Main Air base in Frankfurt Germany. I’m with my little brother Gary and sister Pat.

“Ye gads,…look at those crazy Nik Nik shirts!” Our dog Lance loved the Christmas season.

Marla’s parents used to give fabulous Christmas parties! Marla is having a laugh with a Santa who looks about 20 years old!

We loved taking the grandsons on Christmas sleigh rides in the neighborhood.

A Christmas snow is a real treat for our Dallas grandsons! Notice the boots made from trash bags on Owen.

“Is Christmas REALLY  two days away?”

We love those rare snows when it’s sunny and not too cold!

The Dallas crew enjoys the snow!

“This is just between us. I would really like you to bring me about… 23 things!”

A letter to Santa on Christmas Eve.

“Look….Santa wrote us a letter and he even took a bite of the cookies we left him!”

“This is SO COOL!”

The builders get after it!

Christmas dinner with the family. We always have “Christmas Crackers.”

Celebrating a birthday the day after Christmas.

My Mom sits on Santa’s lap at my niece’s Christmas party.

“Well….a new laptop would be really nice!”

The kids enjoy watching Santa give out presents.

The Boys have a new cat!

Before opening presents on Christmas morning a few years ago.

And then THIS happened!

The Girls loved the Christmas lights ! They are wearing Stacy’s dresses that Marla saved for years!

Our tree is decorated with  picture decorations and vintage and homemade bulbs.

I LOVE Santa!

It is so nice to have family close by!

“I love my CAL shirt!

A Christmas dinner at our daughter’s previous home. Lisa and Ray are great hosts! My Mom loved it!

Merry Christmas!

“No one told me Christmas was three days away!”

Marla and I enjoying the Christmas party!

“Papa,….you might consider something LARGER next year!’

The Girls LOVE Christmas!

The GIRLS  arrive at the party!

I can’t believe how the Boys are growing up!

Matching Barbie dolls!

This is a treasured image of my Mom enjoying the Girls playing on Christmas morning last year. She passed away two months later.

We always open one present at a time.

Mom loved this present!

The Girls put on their Princess dresses, a present from Marla’s sister.

The “Blossoms of Light” at the Denver Botanical Gardens was a real treat!
“Christmas really makes me tired!” The daze of a wonderful Christmas Season.
