A FASCINATING VISIT TO THE LAGUNA ART MUSEUM…and one of the most unusual art installations I’ve ever seen! Some may find it disturbing & macabre, while others will be entranced!

This was our first visit to the Laguna Art Museum and it was an amazing experience! Join Marla, Logan and I as we explore one of the most unusual exhibits we have ever seen!

Artist Jane Bauman created a moving and dynamic art work in the museum elevator.

We began our artistic journey into “The Tipping Point” exhibition by brothers Einar and Jamex de la Torre.

The dining table blends humor and horror, balancing beauty and disgust. The artists message is a statement on power, identity, disgust, and needless consumption & societal excess.

The brothers show us their installlation and explain the symbology.

We will skip this dinner party!

Logan & Marla check out the strange, but captivating table.

Money & excess are key themes!

Wowza!

Bizarre detail under the table.

“Remind you of anyone?”

Of course a giraffe is bizarre, but the wallpaper is totally out there!

There are numerous eccentric glass sculptures, each symbolizing a quest for money, power and over-consumption.

The upstairs gallery draws the visitor to reflect about the imagery.

This glass sculpture is entitled “Ship of Fools.” It looks like the money mad passengers are on a sinking ship!

This is entitled, “Faun In The Big City”.

Macabre glass creations.

This was without a doubt the most unusual art installation we have ever seen. It often repelled and entranced us at the same moment. It was definitely art with a profound message.
