ICE CASTLE ADVENTURE

Our daughter came to Colorado to ski with her family while we babysat the Girls.

Mom, Dad, and the 2 boys skiied Vail and Keystone, loving the fresh snow!

Marla and I took the Girls to the spectacular “ICE CASTLES.” There are only 5 similar installations in North America.

Dress warmly and we’ll take you on a tour!

We were enthralled with the icy wonder! “Brrrrrrrrr!”

So fascinating and fun!

“Ice Castles” contains a labyrinth of beautiful passageways to explore.

The Girls are very adventurous!

The ice slide was very popular! At night “Ice Castles” is lit with colored lights heightening the magic.

Everyone loved the slide!

Marla and I followed our….5 year old tour guides!

Visual excitement!

“Come on Mimi and Papa…..you can do it!”

They LOVED the children’s ice slide!

Our grandsons Vaughan and Owen took these images when they toured “Ice Castles” in the evening. They are very impressive photographers! Most visitors prefer the evening with colored lights although it can be very cold! Advance reservations are required online.

Lake Dillon and Summit County is a wonderful place to visit in both the winter and summer. Historic towns of Frisco and Brecknridge are nearby with 4 ski areas. In the summer I love cycling west on the paved bike path toward Vail.

Love all the photos, Dick. Your composition is very nice. Where are these ice castles?! I assume in Colorado, but O have never heard of them.
