Our daughter Lisa enjoyed a wonderful Broadmoor Resort weekend with her son Logan in Colorado Springs. Husband Ray and son Paxton were off visiting colleges on the East Coast so it was a perfect time for some fun bonding time.
The Broadmoor is Colorado’s premier resort complex only an hour and 20 minute drive south of Denver.

Lisa enjoys the cozy library area just off the Broadmoor’s main lobby.
The Broadmoor Resort features wonderful design elements.
Located less than one mile from The Broadmoor, Seven Falls is one of Colorado’s most captivating natural wonders. This magnificent series of waterfalls is situated in a 1,250-foot-wall box canyon. The views are fabulous as you climb the challenging 224 steps to the hiking trails and the banks of glistening streams that feed Seven Falls, and its 181-foot drop of falling water. “Anyone have a fear of heights?”

They loved their hike in the mountains above the Broadmoor!
On the drive back to Denver Logan wanted to take one more hike. They found the perfect place near Manitou Springs northwest of Colorado Springs at Red Rock Canyon Open Space.

Lisa and Logan felt the place was beautiful and uncrowded.
Beautiful red rock outcroppings!
I can’t wait to give trails above Seven Falls and Red Rock Canyon a try!
I’m sure it won’t be hard to convince Logan to join me!
